I probably won't blog here as much as I do on my actual blog, A_TiffyFit's Reading Corner. But I'm sure you'll see me here often enough! Don't be shy. Say hi! Tell me what you're reading!

Devil's Due (Silhouette Bombshell)

Devil's Due - Rachel Caine Description:The psychic world will never be the same again...Lucia Garza is trapped in a supernatural power struggle. To save a friend she agreed to work for sinister psychic organisation The Cross Society. But after a death threat that almost succeeds, she's starting to think they want her out of the way. Forever.Worse, as Lucia uncovers the society's most dangerous secrets, she discovers that she's being used as a pawn between two warring paranormal factions. Caught in a battle no-one can win, Lucia's only choice could be to go against long told prophecy to destroy both the Cross Socitey and its sworn enemies. But what are the consequences of defying destiny?****************************************Devil's Due continues where Devil's Bargain left off, which is why I totally recommended getting both at once! This book has great action, great characterization, and a great romance. This book is from Lucia Garza's point of view unlike the first which focused on Jazz Callender's. The same characters are there however: James Borden, Ben McCarthy, Jazz Callender, Manny Glickman, Pansy, and of course, Lucia. Since this book focuses more on Lucia, you see more character depth. In Devil's Bargain, Lucia is a tough as nails, gorgeous, but extremely practical woman. You see her sympathetic nature though it's tightly veiled. In Devil's Due, more of her vulnerability comes to the front. It's a quick read: the plot rolls smoothly and you move from piece to piece, bit by bit, without any feeling that it is dragging. There is much to be explored should Ms. Caine decide to do so. I can see many books detailing the happenings at Callender & Garza!
